Hello,
I recently received my Greencard. Will be getting married in a few months and wanted to find out the options available to sponsor my fiance. Fiance is a british citizen, does that help in any way? Also she is a qualified Doctor in the UK and is planning on taking USMLE part 1 & 2 prior to the wedding. Is it prudent to have her move to the US on an H1B instead?
Thanks

I used Ap in 2007 and than I filed H-1B extension 6 month prior to my H-1B expiring in sept 2008. which was approved with the sameI-94 as on parolee status.
I want to use AP again, is there any problem.
Has anybody done that.
appreciate your help in advance.

My sister, as part of submitting documents for her fiance visa application, recently got a birth certificate. However, it doesn't have her name on it. Odd as it sounds, the municipality says that this is common practice. It just has the name of the parents.
Is this acceptable for a fiance visa? Thanks.
Yes, if her parents are sponsoring for his visa :)

Could you post the actual percentage of EB legal immigrants. If it is 15% then it is sad. It should be at least 50% in order for the country to have the brightest talent.
Out of 1 million green cards issued every year, 140000 goes to EB immigrants which works out to 14%

H-1B employers need to be aware that June 30, 2009 will be the last day that the Department of Labors LCA Online system will be operational. As of July 1, 2009, all LCAs for H-1B and E-3 cases will need to be submitted through the iCERT portal (http://icert.doleta.gov/) and that means the end of instant LCA certifications.
This has very important implications for the timing of H-1B and E-3 applications as they relate to new hires and extensions. Employers will need to allow for delays in LCA certifications of at least 7 days rather than the instant certifications that were previously issued.
